The Phone Box outside Simon's house in Seaton Hole was becoming more and more derelict. He approached Seaton Town Council who owned the Phone Box and requested that it become an art gallery. They kindly agreed and helped him to get it cleaned out and repaired. Simon had plenty of prints and cards left over from a one man show in the Chapter House, Wells Cathedral (Harry Potter filming took place there). The artworks left over from the Cathedral Shop, were languishing in his garage, so he used them to kick start raising money from an art gallery in the Phone Box. It started so well that soon he had to print extra cards and paintings to keep up and broaden the stock list. All the work is sold through honesty purchases and proceeds go to small charities, that benefit most from donations.
Take a look at some of our favourite paintings, which we have used on cards, prints etc.
